A Few Things About Grief.

it sucks. yet, here we are.

As I navigate & support folks through grief. Here are some things I’ve learned along the way:

  • Grief is a deeply personalized experience.

    • Although we all experience loss, we will feel that loss differently. 

  • Grief can occur with any loss.

    • Loss of jobs, relationships, people, things, etc. 

  • No matter what you are grieving, your grief is 100% valid.

    • More than convincing others to believe and acknowledge this, you must first learn to honor your own grief & the ways you may experience it. 

  • The stages of grief are a thing of the past.

    • More than a linear uniform process, we can and often will experience grief in a disorganized way - sometimes these experiences are called “the waves of grief”.
